The Society of Italian Studies in the UK and Ireland wishes to invite postgraduate students in Italian Studies in the two countries to propose their candidature for the role of SIS Postgraduate Representative, elected to the society’s Executive Committee.

The PG Representative attends the SIS Exec meeting twice a year (January/June); s/he is responsible for bringing the point of view of PGRs in the Society and for supporting PGR events, working with the Exec’s PGR portfolio-holder.

Applications are invited from SIS members. Applicants are requested to propose their candidature by sending via email to the SIS Honorary Secretary (Gigliola Sulis, g.sulis@leeds.ac.uk) a short statement (up to 500 words), explaining how they see the role and their contribution to the SIS’s activities. We would like to ask the applicant’s supervisor to acknowledge the applicant’s interest in the post and their agreement to their candidature in a separate email to Gigliola Sulis.

The deadline for applications is Monday 11th April 2016. The decision will be taken by the SIS Exec Committee as soon as possible thereafter.

Informal enquiries can be sent to Gigliola Sulis: g.sulis@leeds.ac.uk
