We are pleased to inform you about the first event organized by NILI – Network of Teachers of Italian in the United Kingdom – for the 2025–26 academic year, which will take place online on November 3rd from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.
The event will be a workshop/, a self-study Italian language textbook for learners of Italian as a foreign language, written by Elena Borelli and Giulia Baronti.
During the event, the following topics will be discussed:

How to write an Italian language textbook, particularly for self-learners

How to work with a publisher during the writing process

How to present culture in a respectful, authentic, and engaging way for the self-learner

How to incorporate inclusive language and pedagogy into this type of textbook.
