The 2026 NILI-UK’s annual conference (Network Insegnanti Lingua Italiana UK) will take place at the University of Sheffield on Friday 12th June 2026 & online.
This year’s theme is Innovative Pedagogies and Emotional Wellbeing in the Italian Classroom.
We welcome proposals exploring, among others, the following areas:
- emotional wellbeing and assessment;
- class participation; joy in the language classroom;
- language learning and identity;
- technology-enhanced pedagogies and wellbeing;
- emotional wellbeing in language teaching;
- compassionate teaching
Related sub-themes are also welcome.
This hybrid event allows participation in person or online, with contributions delivered in Italian or English. We invite proposals for 20-minute presentations as well as shorter 10-minute, practice-based, or work-in-progress contributions.
