Registration is now open for the annual NILI UK (Network Insegnanti Lingua Italiana UK Universities) event Innovative Pedagogies and Emotional Wellbeing in the Italian Classroom.

The event will take place on June 12th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM in a hybrid format (in person at the University of Sheffield and via Zoom).

To view the event programme, click HERE or visit the NILI UK website.

Whilst all speakers have opted to deliver their presentations remotely, the more interactive portions of the event will be conducted from Sheffield in person and via breakout rooms. The NILI UK Committee deliberately preserved the hybrid nature of this annual gathering to offer not only an opportunity to share knowledge and expertise but also a physical space to encourage interpersonal connections and facilitate networking and future engagement.

To register for the event, click HERE.  You will be redirected to the University of Sheffield Online Store.  Registration will remain open until May 27th.

Online Participation

Online participation is free of charge, but we kindly ask you to register using the link above.  We will send the Zoom access link for the event only to colleagues who have registered.

In-Person Participation

In-person attendance requires a contribution of £20 to cover the cost of lunch and refreshments.

If you are attending in person, please complete this Dietary Requirements Form by May 27th.

Pre-event Dinner: Thursday, June 11th

If you plan to be in Sheffield the night before the event and would like to have dinner with other delegates, please email Alessia Brighi (a.brighi@sheffield.ac.uk) possibly no later than May 15th.

NOTE: Unfortunately, we do not have funding to cover the dinner, but we hope you can join us to spend some time together before the event. Depending on the number of attendees, we will choose a restaurant near the university.
